Each product is completely customized to the needs of each customer. We provide a full range of tensile from fully annealed to ultra-high tensile material for our customers. STRAIGHT WIRE - on spool

Our highly anticipated new straight wire product is capable of producing sizes below 0.007" (0.1778 mm) and down to 0.0018" (0.0457 mm). Our dedicated R&D staff in Itami, Japan has fine tuned  our newly manufactured equipment. We have perfected the process of producing fine diameter stainless straight wire on spools. September 30, 2016 - Update: STRAIGHT WIRE - on spool

Our highly anticipated new straight wire product is nearing commercial production. We have perfected straight wire on spool for diameters less 0.007". Our dedicated R&D staff in Itami, Japan is currently working to fine tune newly manufactured equipment for larger diameters. We continue to perfect the process of producing fine diameter stainless straight wire on spools. Please check back in the fall of 2016 for new announcements.

WHO WE ARE

Sumiden Wire Products Corporation is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sumitomo Electric Industries, Osaka, Japan. Sumitomo Electric Industries, a $32B conglomerate, invented and patented the process of electroplating nickel onto stainless steel wire in the 1970's.

The 1979 Sumiden Wire investment was the first investment in North America by Sumitomo Electric Industries. The investment was made in Stockton, California for the production of PC strand. An additional capital investment was made in Dickson, Tennessee in 1989 for the production of stainless steel wire. The stainless steel wire facility was able to expand its products into medical applications by 2010 as a result of an intense focus on high quality, precision products.

We continue to add only the most sophisticated equipment available on the market. Where new products require innovative equipment, our R&D facility in Osaka, Japan provides support for new projects exceeding internal capabilities.
